It’s only three episodes in and there’s a whole lot of drama going on in the world of Nashville. Let’s start with Rayna shall we? Last week we find her showing off Highway 65’s new office space and yet all the reporter wants to talk about are her wedding plans. She’s soon finding out that the music business has changed (duh) and she has to be a bit more open, which means social media! Dun-dun-duuuun! She’s going to have to accept it and move on because Will Lexington has bumped her out of the #1 spot on the charts even after everything she’s done to put herself out there.
Juliette is just a hot mess at this point. After finding out she’s pregnant and thinking it was Jeff Fordham’s baby, she totally nails the audition, even transforming herself to look like Patsy Cline. Turns out the baby isn’t Jeff’s, which means it’s Avery’s and she’s probably going to keep it after all. Hopefully that’ll work out with the shooting schedule for the biopic since she already told them there weren’t going to be any additional scheduling conflicts.
Maddie is driving me insane. I get that you just found out that Deacon is really your dad and you feel this insane connection and you want to spend every minute with him, but you have to cut the dad that raised you some slack. She’s mad that parents (Rayna and Deacon) aren’t getting together and comes to find out that Deacon proposed the same night that Luke did (probably not the smartest idea). Oddly enough Deacon is now going on tour with Luke and her mom is out on the road as well which means poor Maddie will be all alone. Except she’ll have her sister and other dad to keep her company.
Gunnar desperately wants to keep Scarlett in Nashville but also asked Zoey to move in with him. He can’t have both. No matter how talented Scarlett is.
Did we mention Derek Hough is guest starring in this week’s episode?! I can’t wait to see what happens!
Nashville airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
