Looks like the freshman drama series will be sticking around a bit longer. Fox has ordered six additional episodes of the hit series Gotham, bringing it to a full 22-episode season.
Fox is the second network to begin full-season pickups and joins the ranks of ABC’s Black-ish and How to Get Away with Murder, which ties with Gotham as Monday’s number one drama on network television.
The Batman prequel is the network’s highest-rated fall drama debut in 14 years.
Gotham is based upon the characters from DC Comics and is produced by Warner Bros. Television. Bruno Heller serves as director/executive producer along with Danny Cannon as executive producer. The series stars Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, Jada Pinkett-Smith, David Mazouz, Erin Richards, Robin Lord Taylor, and Sean Pertwee.
