‘The Vampire Diaries’ Preview: “The World Has Turned and Left Me Here” [Photos and Video]

Time for another homecoming on The Vampire Diaries, and we all know that this won’t go over very well. Something always bad happens on the night of a dance or ball in Mystic Falls. There’s always a history or story connected to that night and I’m sure this one will be no different.

Meanwhile, over in 1994, Bonnie and Damon are becoming besties. In some weird way I want them to get together, but only for like one episode.

And let’s not forget about Ivy who is still alive, sort of, and in desperate need of some blood. Will Stefan kill her before she turns? Would he even let her turn? Of course he turns to Caroline for help.

During the homecoming there are creepy corn mazes with screaming ghosts running amok because according to Alaric’s story, the “legend goes that Lady Whitmore is out on this night, every year, dressed in White, covered in her lover’s blood, running through the corn fields, screaming for her life.” Oh, great. Just great.

Check out some photos from this week’s episode below along with an official episode synopsis.

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Episode Description: IT’S HOMECOMING — With Homecoming around the corner, Elena (Nina Dobrev) invites Liam (guest star Marco James) to attend a party at the corn maze with her. Instead of attending the homecoming festivities, Caroline (Candice Accola) is preoccupied after Stefan (Paul Wesley) shows up unexpectedly and needs her help cleaning up a mess created by Enzo (Michael Malarkey). Heeding Elena’s advice to be more social, Alaric (Matt Davis) reluctantly attends the party, but a devastating accident quickly leaves him and Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) rushing to save lives. Elsewhere, Tyler (Michael Trevino) finds himself in a dangerous position when his werewolf curse is put to the test, and an emotionally embattled Stefan comes clean to Caroline about his intent to move on from Mystic Falls. Lastly, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) make an important discovery that affects their quest to get back home.
