‘Grimm’ Preview: “Octopus Head” [Photos and Video]

NBC’s Grimm is off to a great start this season, considering the fact that the premiere debuted to 5.3 million viewers and grew +15% versus last May’s season finale to deliver the show’s top rating since March 21. Not a bad way to start off the new season and definitely helped Constantine in its series premiere as well.

The premiere picked up exactly where we left off at the finale and Nick is still without his powers. Trubel is somehow not in trouble with the Feds but Special Agent Chavez (Elizabeth Rodriguez) is a wesen, which I’m sure will come into play soon enough. And from the looks of it in the trailers, she believes that Nick is a grimm.

Meanwhile, we’re made to believe that Captain Renard is dead at the end of the episode, but I doubt they’ll let him go that easily. Plus, some strange woman (Louise Lombard) shows up at the hospital and from previews for this week’s episode she just happens to be a Hexenbiest. So I’m sure she’ll help him in some capacity.

Lastly, we’re left with this octopus head wesen running around Portland stealing people’s memories. But for what, I’m not quite sure yet. There’s some evil brewing, that’s for sure.

This week’s episode, appropriately titled “Octopus Head,” finds Nick and Hank trying to track down this memory-stealing wesen while Trubel joins the investigation and puts herself in harms way. Monroe and Rosalee are desperately trying to find a cure even for Nick even though he’s still debating whether or not he should regain his Grimm abilities.

Now let’s not forget about Adalind, who is being held captive in Vienna and learns that she is now more connected to Nick than ever.

Grimm airs Fridays at 9/8c on NBC.
