So apparently the time between applying to art school and getting in isn’t very long at all. Congrats, Jeremy, on finally leaving that crazy town we call Mystic Falls and doing what you love most. In the beginning, Jeremy had a lot more going on. We followed them in high school and he had a vampire girlfriend, probably more than one, and then we watched him grow up and fall in love with one Bonnie Bennett. This poor kid lost his parents, his best friend, his girlfriend (more than once), and now has nothing going for him. Literally. Jer hasn’t had a storyline in quite some time and frankly, we’re all a bit bored by it.

Remember when Jeremy was all sexy and had a hunter’s mark growing on his body?! Now he’s just a boring hunter who has a drinking problem, or I guess I should say “had” a drinking problem. Regardless, we are still saying goodbye to little Gilbert, who’s been around since the beginning.

Meanwhile, something is brewing, romantically speaking, between Caroline and Stefan. I mean, thank f*cking God! If they don’t have a make out session on tonight’s episode, I might die! I mean, she’s already an emotional wreck from adjusting to the idea of her losing her mom, and now Stefan is spending all this time with her fixing up the house and being all manly. (see clip below)

Let’s not forget about Enzo and his plan to destroy Stefan’s little secret he’s been hiding all these years from Damon. He’s roped in Matt along with Sarah Salvatore into his little scheming idea of a plan.

Are you sad about Jeremy leaving Mystic Falls?

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

The official synopsis for “Stay”:

GOODBYE, MYSTIC FALLS — It’s Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) last day in Mystic Falls and Elena (Nina Dobrev) puts on a brave face as they reminisce about their past. Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice Accola) find themselves growing closer as they prepare Caroline’s family cabin for her mother to live out her final days. While packing up her office, Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacInytre) turns to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) for help solving one of her remaining open cases involving Elena’s parents. Elsewhere, when a violent confrontation with Enzo (Michael Malarkey) leaves Jeremy wondering whether he should leave or not, Matt (Zach Roerig) finds his own life on the line after Enzo lures him and Sarah Salvatore (guest star Tristan Mays) into his dangerous plan. Lastly, Caroline rushes to the hospital after learning her mother has taken a turn for the worse.
