The Following is officially dead at Fox.

The network announced on Friday that the psychological thriller series led by Kevin Bacon has been canceled after three seasons.

The series, which premiered to strong numbers when it premiered back in 2013, has been sliding in viewership and wasn’t bring back the audience numbers it was once attracting.

The Following was a big deal when the news first came out that Kevin Bacon was coming to the small screen. Since then, we’ve seen similar moves like Viola Davis with ABC’s How to Get Away with Murder and even Colin Farrell and Rachel McAdams for HBO’s True Detective.
