‘Arrow’ Preview: H.I.V.E. Attacks Team Arrow in “Code of Silence”

Last week’s episode of Arrow was just crazy pants. Malcolm keeps proving over and over again that he isn’t a good guy and despite what he says about doing whatever it takes to protect Thea, is still yet to be determined.

I mean, we all saw that Star Wars-Luke moment coming, right?! And now he just goes straight to Damien Darhk and tells him about Oliver’s secret child? Ohhhhhh Felicity is going to be pissed! Speaking of Darhk, let’s not forget about his psycho wife who’s decided to join in the Mayoral race against Oliver Queen. TWIST!

In this week’s episode of Arrow titled “Code of Silence,” the Demolition Team has come to Star City and it’s “like the Big Bag Wolf huffed or puffed or something.” Very descriptive 🙂

Basically, a bunch of precision demolition experts who work for H.I.V.E. and they are bringing down the house, hopefully with Oliver Queen in it. BOOM!

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CW.

The official synopsis for “Code of Silence”:

SECRETS AND LIES — Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team uncover HIVE’s plan to take out Team Arrow once and for all. With HIVE’s next attack imminent, Lance (Paul Blackthorne) wonders if Donna (guest star Charlotte Ross) is safer without him in her life. Meanwhile, with the wedding fast approaching, Oliver begins to feel guilty that he hasn’t told Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) about his son.

‘Arrow’ Preview: Oliver Will Do Anything to Save Thea in “Sins of the Father”

“Let me see if I’ve got this right…there’s a magic potion that can cure Thea’s blood lust that we’ve never heard of that Nyssa conveniently has.” Malcolm Merlyn come on down!

So, we knew all along that Thea’s blood lust was going to completely come to the surface and either kill her or, well, I guess, kill her. The time has come. She is in the hospital and only has a few days to live. Oliver wants to save his sister, but doesn’t want to do that by killing Merlyn which is what Nyssa wants from him before she hands over this so-called cure she has for Thea.

Could this get any crazier?! Don’t worry, Oliver knows that diplomacy is the way to go. All Nyssa wants is to rule the League of Assassins, so he just has to convince Malcolm to give her the ring and it’s a win-win…win situation.

Will Malcolm do the right thing and help save his daughter’s life? Will Oliver truly fight Malcolm to the death in order to get his hands on the cure to save his sister?

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CW.

The official synopsis for “Sins of the Father”:

NYSSA MAKES OLIVER AN OFFER – Oliver (Stephen Amell) receives an offer from Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) that is hard to refuse. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) continues to battle the blood lust, Malcolm (John Barrowman) steps in to help his daughter, and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) has a heart to heart talk with Nyssa.

‘Arrow’ Preview: Roy Harper Returns to Star City in “Unchained”

Roy Harper aka Arsenal is back in Star City! Oh how we’ve missed Colton Haynes. Also, where’s Speedy? Do they share the same outfit?! I have a lot of questions.

A lot has happened since Roy’s been gone and once again he’s out to keep Oliver and the rest of the team’s secret which of course gets him into some serious trouble.

He’s not the only one to return to Star City. Nyssa (Katrina Law) is back as well to make her big move. Not sure what that means exactly, but I can’t wait to find out. Last we saw her she was being imprisoned by none other than Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) after making a serious threat against his life.

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CW.

The official synopsis for “Unchained”:

ROY HARPER RETURNS; NYSSA MAKES HER MOVE — The team faces off against a formidable villain nicknamed The Calculator (guest star Tom Amandes). Meanwhile, Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) makes her move and Roy Harper (guest star Colton Haynes) returns to Star City. Kevin Fair directed the episode written by Speed Weed & Beth Schwartz (#412). Original airdate 2/3/2016.

A house with a white picket fence, cupcakes, Olicity…I mean, who really thought it would be happily ever after?! Of course there would be trouble in the now Star City and the gang would have to get back together. Plus, everyone gets a costume. Thea aka Speedy demands to be called Red Arrow, Oliver is now Green Arrow and even Diggle gets his own mask!

The premiere finds Oliver and Felicity living the life they always wanted, away from the craziness of Star City and bad guys. Only, they’re both meant for something more. Oliver becomes someone new to help fight new bad guys including Damien Darhk played by Neal McDonough.

Arrow premieres Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

However, when Oliver returns, Diggle (David Ramsey) makes it very clear that he doesn’t want Oliver on the team.

Not only is the “gang” all back together, but Cupid (Amy Gumenick) has somehow been given a spot in the crew. Thanks for that, Amanda Waller!

Meanwhile, Ray Palmer learns about Oliver’s nightly activities as the Arrow, so he puts on the Atom suit and they have a bit of a standoff. Felicity should have known that he’d find out and should have warned Oliver. Tsk Tsk.

‘Arrow’ Preview: Black Canary and Arsenal Lead an “Uprising” in The Glades

With Brick (Vinnie Jones) taking over The Glades and Oliver still MIA, Team Arrow is forced to take whatever help they can get, including that of Malcolm Merlyn, whether they like it or not. As the team tries to make sense of Captain Lance’s case files over the last years, Felicity uncovers the fact that Brick murdered Merlyn’s wife twenty years ago. Malcolm is willing to help fight Brick, purely for revenge.

This week’s episode tells the origin story of the Dark Archer; how Malcolm fell from being the once the caring, doting father, to the evil, cold-blooded killer that he has become today. In the “Inside: Uprising” clip below, Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim tells us that “this is the biggest flashback jump we’ve ever made on the show. We’re gonna flashback 25 years earlier to a very different Malcolm Merlyn.”

Meanwhile, Laurel and Roy want to help the people of The Glades fight against Brick, but Felicity is not on board. They turn to Diggle for help and to make the call on whether or not they move forward. From the photos below, it looks like they choose to save the innocents.

The Synopsis for “Uprising”:

MALCOLM MAKES AN OFFER TO HELP TEAM ARROW — Still operating without Oliver (Stephen Amell) and desperate to stop Brick (guest star Vinnie Jones), Team Arrow is forced to consider Malcolm’s (John Barrowman) offer to help shut Brick down as Malcolm has a personal score to settle with the felon. Roy (Colton Haynes) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) point out that the team could use some help to save the innocents of The Glades, but Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is adamantly against it. They look to Diggle to make the final decision. Meanwhile, the flashbacks chronicle Malcolm’s descent from kind-hearted father and husband to cold-blooded killer after the murder of his wife.

‘Arrow’: First Look at Brandon Routh in Costume as The Atom

Remember when we asked when we’d get to see Ray Palmer suit up as The Atom?! Well here you go!

Brandon Routh has already played a superhero, some guy known as Superman, and now he plays Ray Palmer on the CW hit series Arrow. Ray, as you may know, takes on an alter ego known as The Atom, at a time when the city and Team Arrow is in desperate need of some help. For the last couple of weeks we’ve been watching Ray play around with the suit, showing Felicity his ideas and asking her for help. The time has finally come for us to see what he will look like in the DC universe.

Ray Palmer suits up as The Atom in the 15th episode of Arrow on February 25th.

‘Arrow’ Preview: Black Canary Steps Up in “Midnight City”

If last week’s glimpse of Laurel as Black Canary wasn’t enough for you, don’t worry. She’s suiting up yet again to help Team Arrow with fighting Danny ‘Brick’ Brickwell, played by Vinnie Jones, who began taking over The Glades with his army of goons. Oliver is still missing and the rest of the team is doing the best they can to put fear into the bad guys of Starling City, without the help of the Arrow.

Now, it’s definitely a nice gesture for Laurel to want to help do what she can for the team, but she has a long ways to go before being able to fight the way her sister did. Those are some pretty big shoes to fill.

Also, from the stills below, it looks as if DJ Chase (Austin Butler) is back in the picture. Not sure where he’s been this whole time, but I hope we get to see more of him.

The Synopsis for “Midnight City”:

SUIT UP — Arsenal (Colton Haynes) and Diggle (David Ramsey) confront Laurel (Katie Cassidy) about trying to step into her sister’s shoes and warn her to stop before she gets herself killed. However, when Brick (guest star Vinnie Jones) kidnaps the city’s Aldermen and threatens to kill them all unless the police evacuate The Glades, it’s all suits on deck. Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) steps in to help Lance (Paul Blackthorne) and the police force fight Brick, showing Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) a new side of her boss. Malcom (John Barrowman) tells Thea (Willa Holland) that Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable) is after him and his family and they must leave town immediately.
