Shortly after the season finale, VH1 announced that they have renewed Nicole Richie’s pseudo-reality series Candidly Nicole for a second season that will air spring/summer 2015. The series is based on the AOL version with the same name, and shows Richie in her everyday activities, only heightened to be a bit quirky and ridiculous.
Richie plays up her personality and eccentric style for laughs, poking fun at herself and her life which makes her that much more likable.
“Candidly Nicole has surpassed every goal that we set for the launch. The series increased viewers in its time period by 50 perfect, attracted thousands of new viewers to the channel and shared Nicole Richie’s sharp wit and comedic flair for highlighting some of the absurdities of the real world,” said Susan Levision, EVP of Original Programming and Production for VH1. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to work with Nicole on another season.”
Candidly Nicole is produced by Telepictures and World of Wonder. Richie, Michael Baum, Randy Barbato, Fenton Bailey, Tom Campbell and Carrie Franklin serve as executive producers. Richie recently starred as one of the three mentors on NBC’s Fashion Star and is repped by WME, Impression Entertainment and Grubman, Shire & Meiselas.
