At the Television Critics Association summer session, USA Network announced the premiere dates  for their newest original drama series Falling Water and Eyewitness.

The one-hour drama Falling Water is set to premiere on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 10/9c. The series is the story of three unrelated people who slowly realize that they are dreaming separate parts of a single common dream. The deeper they dig, the more they come to realize that the visions found in their common dream just might hold the key to the fate of the world. Lizzie Brocheré (American Horror Story: Asylum), David Ajala (Fast & Furious 6) and Will Yun Lee (Hawaii 5-0) star.

The series hails from executive producers Gale Anne Hurd  (The Walking Dead), Blake Masters (Brotherhood) and Universal Cable Productions, with Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) directing the pilot. The late Emmy Award-Winner Henry Bromell (Homeland) executive produced the pilot as well.

From fexecutive producer Adi Hasak (Shades of Blue) and Universal Cable Productions comes the new series Eyewitness, premiering on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 10/9c.

The bone-chilling crime thriller delves into the lives of two teenage boys after they secretly meet up in a cabin, bear witness to a shooting and barely escape with their lives. Desperate to keep their relationship a secret and in fear of being found by the perpetrator, they remain silent but soon learn that what has been seen cannot be unseen — and when you witness a horrible event, it changes everything. Adapted from the critically acclaimed Norwegian drama Øyevitne, the series stars Julianne Nicholson (Black Mass, Masters of Sex), Gil Bellows (Ascension, 11.22.63), Tyler Young (Empire), and James Paxton (Term Life).

Jarl Emsell Larsen and Scott Peters (V, The 4400) and Jackie de Crinis also serve as executive producers. Peters will also direct multiple episodes of the series and Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight, Miss You Already) will executive produce the pilot and direct the first two episodes.

Falling Water has been picked up to series by USA Network, it was announced today at the Television Critics Association winter session in Pasadena, CA. The drama series is from executive producers Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead) of Valhalla Entertainment, Blake Masters (Brotherhood) and the late Emmy Award-winner Henry Bromell (Homeland).

Falling Water is the story of three unrelated people, who slowly realize that they are dreaming separate parts of a single common dream.  Each of them is on a mysterious and highly personal quest — one is searching for his missing girlfriend, one is searching for a lost child, one is looking to cure his catatonic mother — and it is the clues found in their collective dream that come to guide them.   The deeper they dig, though, the more they come to realize that their missions touch on stakes that are much larger than their individual agendas. That the visions found in their common dream just might hold the key to the fate of the world.

Ajala takes on the role of Burton, the head of in-house security for a multinational investment banking firm, whose personal and professional paranoia collide when an investigation into financial malfeasance at the firm leads to a backlash that engulfs his love life.  Meanwhile, Lee is Taka, an intuitive NYPD Detective, whose leap-of-faith insights put him on the trail of an obscure dream-obsessed cult; and Brochere plays Tess, a cutting edge trend spotter with an uncanny ability to predict the next big thing, who is haunted by nightly dreams of an absent child.

Falling Water captivated us with its cinematic journey and unique exploration into the power of the dream world,” said Jackie de Crinis, Executive Vice President Original Programming, USA Network, “It is an edge-of-your-seat thriller that reveals a race to control the collective conscience.”

“Today’s world demands shows that both challenge and reward the audience in spectacular ways,” said Jeff Wachtel, President and Chief Content Officer, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. Falling Water is the type of show that can move the needle of popular culture with its thrilling exploration of the dark side of the mind.”

The pilot was written and co-created by Masters and Bromell and is from Universal Cable Productions (UCP). Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) directed the pilot and will also executive produce the series.  Bromell and Masters previously teamed up on Brotherhood and AMC’s short-lived series, Rubicon.  David Ajala (Fast & Furious 6), Will Yun Lee (Hawaii 5-0) and Lizzie Brochere (American Horror Story: Asylum) are set to star in the series.

Falling Water is the first pilot to be greenlit off of USA Network’s 2015/2016 slate.  Still in contention are the Ryan Phillippe-led Shooter, Brooklyn Animal Control, The Wildling and Poor Richard’s Almanack.
