Netflix Releases Dark ‘House of Cards’ Season 5 Teaser During Inauguration

The internet streaming giant released an aptly-timed teaser trailer for the upcoming season of House of Cards during the inauguration. The trailer which, was quite disturbing in that it was a dark and gloomy day and all you saw was an upside down American flag blowing in the wind, was shared on twitter with the message “We make the terror.” Oh, and the Pledge of Allegiance was playing in the background. That’s not creepy at all!

Season five premieres Tuesday, May 30, 2017.

Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese, two senior writers who have been with House of Cards since 2014, have been promoted to showrunners of the award-winning Netflix original series, from Media Rights Capital.

House of Cards also stars Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Neve Campbell, Derek Cecil, Paul Sparks and Joel Kinnaman. Based on the BBC miniseries of the same name, the fifth season of House of Cards is produced by Donen/Fincher/Roth and Trigger Street Productions, Inc. in association with Media Rights Capital for Netflix.

Netflix Renews ‘House of Cards’ for Season 4


The internet streaming giant has renewed House of Cards for a fourth season.

The Netflix series stars Kevin Spacey as President Frank Underwood and Robin Wright as his cold hearted wife Claire. The the political drama series will return with new episodes in 2016. No date has been announced but Netflix has stated that production is set to start this summer in and around Baltimore.

The news comes the day after President Barack Obama impersonated Frank Underwood for April Fools’ Day.

Kevin Spacey won his first Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV show at the 72nd annual awards earlier this year, while Wright won a 2013 Golden Globe for best actress in a TV drama her role as his other half, Claire Underwood.

House of Cards is produced by David Fincher, Beau Willimon, Joshua Donen, Eric Roth, Kevin Spacey, Dana Brunetti, Andrew Davies and Michael Dobbs. Donen/Fincher/Roth and Media Rights Capital produces the series in association with Trigger Street Productions.

Netflix Unveils ‘House of Cards’ Season 3 Trailer

Moments after Kevin Spacey won his first Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV show at the 72nd annual awards show on Sunday night, Netflix dropped the intense new trailer for House of Cards season 3.

Spacey has been nominated for a Golden Globe eight times, and this marked his second nod for his role as Frank Underwood in the hit series. The Netflix drama was also up for Best TV Drama and Best Actress in a TV Drama. Sadly Robin Wright was beat out by Ruth Wilson for her portrayal as Alison Bailey in Showtime’s The Affair.
