Netflix Renews ‘Orange is the New Black’ for Three More Seasons


Netflix and Lionsgate have announced that they’ve renewed their hit series Orange is the New Black for not one, not two, but three additional seasons.

Season four of the the comedic drama set in a women’s prison from creator and executive producer Jenji Kohan, will premiere Friday, June 17 and additional seasons five, six and seven will premiere in future years. Seasons one through three are streaming on Netflix. It was also announced that Kohan will continue on as executive producer and showrunner for seasons five, six and seven.

“Jenji and her team have produced a phenomenal and impactful series that is both funny and dramatic, outrageous and heartfelt. Audiences around the world have come to love the ladies and men of Orange is the New Black, and we are eager to see where three more seasons will take them,” said Cindy Holland, Vice President of Original Content at Netflix.

“Three more years! Not quite a political term, but still plenty of time to do some interesting things. In some cultures, ‘May you lead an interesting life,’ is a curse, but I don’t live in those cultures,” said series creator and executive producer Jenji Kohan. “Here’s to keeping it interesting. New ‘Orange is the New Black’ Season 3 Trailer is All About ‘Naked Catfights in the Shower’


Netflix has just released a new trailer for the upcoming season of Orange is the New Black that shows the craziness that goes on, like “lesbian sex and strip searches and naked catfights in the shower.” But apparently they do more than that.

Basically, it’s time to play catch up on seasons 1 & 2 before the new season premieres, which won’t include Jason Biggs. However, some new lady-mates are joining the world of orange jumpsuits including Lori Petty as Lolly and Ruby Rose as Stella.

Netflix has also released some new images to show us what the ladies of Litchfield will be up to this time around.

Orange is the New Black premieres June 12 on Netflix.

Netflix Renews ‘Orange is the New Black’ for Season 4, Releases New Trailer

Netflix’s hit series Orange is the New Black has been renewed for a fourth season and will return in 2016, the company announced today.

The news, which was announced on Twitter, comes two months before the season 3 premiere. This isn’t surprising at all, as the women of Litchfield have become a fan-favorite and is Netflix’s most popular and acclaimed original series to date.

The streaming giant also released a new clip from the upcoming season which premieres on June 12.

The women of Litchfield are back! Netflix has just released the full trailer for Orange is the New Black’s third season.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see what Piper, Alex, Red and the rest of the gang have been up to. The streaming giant is #sorrynotsorry for totally interrupting your day with this trailer that makes you want to get up and dance in the rec room with Taystee, Poussey and Black Cindy.

Some new lady-mates are joining the world of orange jumpsuits including Lori Petty as Lolly and Ruby Rose as Stella.

Netflix Sets Premiere Dates for ‘Orange is the New Black,’ ‘Wet Hot American Summer,’ and More


The streaming giant announced today (March 2) premiere dates for the highly anticipated series Wet Hot American Summer as well as Sense8, the upcoming sci-fi drama from Andy and Lana Wachowski, and revealed a return date for Season 3 of Orange is the New Black. 

Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp (a follow-up on the 2001 cult classic movie) will be available on July 17 while the women of Litchfield return for a third season of Orange is the New Black on June 12.

According to a press release, Sense8 is “a gripping global tale of minds linked and souls hunted,” and makes its streaming debut on June 5.

The Canadian thriller Between, starring Jeanette McCurdy, will drop sometime in May.

Let’s not forget about their comedy specials including Chris D’Elia: Incorrigible on April 17 followed by Jen Kirkman: I’m Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine) on May 22.
