HBO Renews ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Veep’ and ‘Silicon Valley’

HBO has renewed Game of ThronesVeep and Silicon Valley for a seventh, sixth and fourth season respectively, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO programming. The news comes just days before all three shows return on Sunday, April 24, solidifying one of the best Sunday night lineups on HBO.

The Emmy®-winning Game of Thrones begins its ten-episode sixth season Sunday, April 24 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT). Based on the bestselling fantasy books by George R.R. Martin, the fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent kingdom. Series regulars this season include: Emmy® and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Aidan Gillen, Diana Rigg, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams and Jonathan Pryce.

The Emmy®-winning comedy series Veep kicks off its ten-episode fifth season Sunday, April 24 (10:30-11:00 p.m.). The show stars Emmy® and Screen Actors Guild Award winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus as President Selina Meyer, for whom the most banal action can set off a ripple effect with unexpected and far-reaching consequences. The ensemble cast also includes Emmy® winner Tony Hale, Emmy® nominee Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, Sufe Bradshaw, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole and Sam Richardson.

A collaboration between Mike Judge and Alec Berg, the show returns for its ten-episode third season Sunday, April 24 (10:00-10:30 p.m.). Series regulars include Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, Jimmy O. Yang and Suzanne Cryer.

HBO Releases ‘Silicon Valley’ Season 3 Trailer

The Pied Piper gang is back together to screw things up some more…if that’s even possible.

HBO just dropped the first teaser trailer for Silicon Valley season 3 and it doesn’t disappoint.

The series returns with Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch) wanting to be the CEO of Pied Piper once again and Erlich Bachman throwing out zingers left and right. Plus, things get bloody…fast.

HBO Sets Return Dates for ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Veep,’ and ‘Silicon Valley’

At the Television Critics Association winter session, HBO announced that Game of the Thrones, Silicon Valley and Veep will premiere back-to-back on Sunday, April 24 starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Fans are freaking out about the upcoming season as we don’t even know if Jon Snow is alive or dead or has he come back as something else? Plus, the trailer doesn’t help answer any of those questions! Also, George R.R. Martin hasn’t even FINISHED the sixth Game of Thrones book, “The Winds of Winter.”

HBO Renews ‘Veep’ and ‘Silicon Valley’

HBO has renewed comedy series Veep and Silicon Valley for a fifth and third season respectively, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO programming. The news comes less than a day after both premieres and we have yet to see the ratings for either show, but this is great news as it’s honestly one of HBO’s best Sunday night lineups to date.

Veep and Silicon Valley are terrific series, and I’m immensely proud that they will return to HBO next year,” noted Lombardo. “Along with Game of Thrones and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, both of which have already been renewed for 2016, they give HBO a stellar Sunday night like no other.”

HBO Sets Return Date for ‘Veep,’ ‘Silicon Valley’ and ‘Game of Thrones’

At the Television Critics Association winter session, HBO announced the return dates for Veep, Game of the Thrones and Silicon Valley. Winter is coming on Sunday, April 12!

The network also announced that Real Time with Bill Maher has been renewed for Seasons 14 and 15.

A Bessie Smith biopic starring Queen Latifah is also slated to premiere this spring.

Game of Thrones will premiere at 9/8c followed by Silicon Valley at 10 p.m. and Veep at 10:30 p.m.
