‘Outlander’ Preview: “Lallybroch”

Lallybroch Lallybroch
Oh Lally Lally Lally

This week’s episode of Outlander is a bit of a “cool down” episode if you will. Now that Jamie is able to go home, for now, we get to see his home at Lallybroch and meet his sister, Jenny, that he hasn’t seen in nearly four years. There’s quite a bit of tension between those two and she’s is pretty sassy if I do say so myself. .

The episode titled “Lallybroch,” features a lot of flashback scenes where we find out what truly happened the day Jamie protected Jenny, when he was pretty much whipped all day by none other than Jack Randall.

And if you need a little refresher on what happened before this week’s episode, make sure to subscribe to Outlandish: the unofficial Outlander podcast!

‘Outlander’ Preview: “The Devil’s Mark”

No one is coming, Geillis.

That’s right, Claire. You’re shit out of luck. That stupid brat, Laoghaire MacKenzie, has just sent you to your death with that note that you totally fell for. I’m sure you’re wishing you hadn’t spoken to her like that and slapped her in the face.

In this week’s episode titled “The Devil’s Mark,” Geillis and Claire are on trial for witchcraft. I mean, we all know Geillis wanted Dougal’s wife and her own husband dead so that they could be together. She is pregnant after all and believes wholeheartedly that he will come and save her. Ummm probably not, lady. But we do know, as we’ve seen in the past when Claire has been in trouble, that Jamie will come to her rescue.

What do you think will happen to Claire and Geillis? Will Jamie make it in time? And what is this secret that Claire discovers about Geillis?

‘Outlander’ Preview: Meet the Duke of Sandringham

The Duke of Sandringham, played by the talented Simon Callow, finally makes his debut on this week’s episode titled “By the Pricking of My Thumbs.”

Although the Duke has been mentioned in previous episodes, this is the first time we actually see him onscreen. Remember back to the first episode, when Frank discusses the Duke’s relationship and influence with Reverend Wakefield. They both come to the conclusion that the Duke must be connected somehow with Black Jack Randall. It’s the only explanation for how he had gotten away with so many atrocities. He must have had a protector who had some great influence in that region.

Meanwhile, as Claire walks through the forest she hears the cries of a child and immediately runs towards the screams. Geillis warns her that it’s fairy hill,  and that “that baby is no human child. That’s a changeling.” Will Claire do what she always does, and try to save the child?

The official synopsis for “By the Pricking of My Thumbs:

“Jamie hopes the newly arrived Duke of Sandringham will help lift the price from his head, while Claire attempts to save an abandoned child.”

Starz TCA: ‘Power’ Season 2 Photos

On Friday at the Television Critics Association winter session, Starz dropped the new trailer and photos from the second season of their hip-hop drama Power.

The network also released a synopsis of what’s to come: “Season 2 will pick up where it left off: James “Ghost” St. Patrick is doubling down on his drug business to save his nightclub and his dream of a legitimate future. Ghost’s work troubles pale in comparison to juggling his relationship with his wife, Tasha, and his first love, Angela, who’s also an Assistant United States Attorney investigating his drug organization.”

The synopsis continues: “Ghost’s dream is set back even further by his business partner, Tommy, who loves the drug game, and his former mentor, Kanan (Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson), fresh out of jail and looking for revenge. Season 2 has Ghost in a race against himself: Can he get out of the drug game alive before Angela discovers who he is?”
